Virtualizing at the compute and the storage layer is old hat. Organizations have gotten incredibly comfortable with the idea of abstracting their servers. But when it comes to other parts of the data center, there’s still a sense of uncertainty and apprehension about moving toward a full-on software-defined data center (SDDC).

Here’s some advice when it comes to software-defined IT: Ditch the fear and embrace the opportunities.

The SDDC allows you to virtualize networking components, so you can deliver one complete solution to your infrastructure teams and provide services out to business units. This is in contrast to infrastructure as it’s traditionally done, where everything is provisioned separately.

In short, you’ll be able to automate and orchestrate at a greater level with an SDDC model.

If you’re still uncertain, watch our video, which will help demystify the value of SDDCs and highlight the new capabilities they can enable.
